At 18:30 on the 30th of November, 2020, John Dick (37), was last seen getting off a train in Dovercourt, Bury St Edmunds. The ex-marine and father of two used his bank card and got a train ticket to Harwich that day. There have been no confirmed sightings of John since the 30th of November, but his sister Amy Hooper said it was likely he had been on Facebook on the 4th of December for several hours in the evening.

John's wife, Lorna said, "John Ross Dick is a good man. He is not cruel or selfish so for him to be doing this is not like him and he must be desperate for help and support. He was under extraordinary stress before his disappearance, but we and the police believe he is OK. We don’t know where he is, but he knows people from all over the UK so please share nationwide and keep an eye out for him."

John is described as a white male, having short-cropped grey straight hair, short dark brown stubble, slightly greying, he is 6 ft tall, he has a tattoo of a tribal full sleeve on one arm, and the other arm has a full sleeve royal marines’ emblem.

Update:

On the 23rd of April 2021, it was reported by Norfolk police that Jon was no longer considered a missing person. It was also revealed that John was now wanted in connection with a serious assault that has occurred in Thetford. A Norfolk Police statement said: "Following a number of weeks of inquiries by our colleagues in Suffolk, John is no longer being treated as a missing person. Officers in Norfolk investigating the serious assault in which a man suffered a stab wound have exhausted options trying to relocate and re-arrest John, which has led to us circulating a public appeal for information concerning his whereabouts."

Anyone who has seen John or who has any information on where he may be should contact Suffolk Police on 101.
