On the 7th of February 2019, Tapiwa Matuwi (21) was last seen on CCTV near Swansea Marina at about 07:00. He had been out with friends at Fiction nightclub on the city's Wind Street and had previously stopped into a McDonalds on Princess Way and then went to his student Accommodation. He then went to a Sainsbury's supermarket before last being seen near Swansea Marina.
Tapiwa, known as Tapi to his friends, is described "about 6ft, slim with black hair, and he was last seen wearing a red jacket with Bieber written in white on the back." In the CCTV at McDonalds Tapi appears to be in a good mood, joking with his friends, before he left alone. Tapi was reported missing by his father when he failed to return home that day to greet his sister when she got back from school - something he always did.
